Capoeira has been around for about 400+ years and Yoga can trace it’s history back over 5000 years! Over time we have seen both art forms flourish here in the United States. It was inevitable that there would be a fusion of the two. Each one contributes to each other. Capoeira promotes fluidity and strength through constant movement and Yoga gives its practitioners control and flexibility through static poses and complex body positions.
